Molly's got it going on!
This is the official New Yorkest book group title for this month.
And if you want to join us, please do.
Should be rad.
Every month, I will select a book about New York that I think New Yorkests should read. Just like events, you can recommend books for consideration. (I will choose some, but not all, titles recommended.)
After several weeks, having read the book, I will post a review in
this blog. I then encourage you to leave a comment including your
opinions about and insights on the book -- or linking to your own blog
entry elsewhere reviewing the same book. We can then comment on each
others comments and blog posts in a distributed book group discussion
of sorts. And if it takes off, we could even meet in person.
For the month of July, already more than half passed, the New Yorkest Book Club selection is Herbert Asbury's The Gangs of New York.
I have already finished the book. Zoinks! By the end of next week, I
will post a review, and despite the short notice, we can see how things
go.
I hope they go swimmingly.
